Dogslife's 2nd Annual Miles for Mutts on Saturday, June 26, 2021, was a massive success thanks to all who participated, sponsored the race, and volunteered. Dogslife raised almost $25,000 through this event and had over 250 participants from five different states!
Dogslife would like to give a heartfelt THANK YOU to our amazing sponsors. We could not fulfill our mission without your encouragement and support:
Sandy Scoggins
Meridian Veterinary Real Estate
VCA Pet CancerCare
Trinity Groves
Barking Hound Village
The event started at 7:30am on Saturday morning with a 10K, followed by a 5K at 8am and a 1 mile fun run/walk at 8:30am. The race course started in Trinity Groves, crossed over the Ronald Kirk Bridge with beautiful views of downtown Dallas, and looped around the Trinity Skyline Trail beside Trinity River.
Between races, participants got to hear testimonials from previous grant recipient families including:
Grant recipient Caitlyn and her dog, Sydney,
grant recipient Matt speaking in memory of his dog, Lula, and
grant recipient Tyler and his dog, Jake.
Everyone enjoyed learning more about how Dogslife has benefitted these families and getting to meet the dogs in person!
