OUR
IMPACT IN 2018-2021
Dogslife grants have allowed each of the dogs below to receive the cancer treatment needed to extend and enhance their lives. They have all become members of the Dogslife family!
This sweet girl has been by my side from the very first day of my adult life. For over a decade, I have been talking to her and singing to her while cooking, cleaning, driving, doing homework and working from home. She is my shadow and the big, warm, 75-pound weighted blanked that lays on my legs.
This grant is extremely important to me because Apollo helped emotionally support me and my mother through her cancer diagnosis and treatments. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity from Dogslife to be able to support Apollo through his surgery and chemotherapy treatments.
We thanked the veterinarian and surgeon at MEDVET and DVSC for taking such great care of our girl but it would not have been possible without this great charity Dogslife we cannot thank you enough. It is amazing how well she is getting around on only three legs and its hard seeing her without her leg, but it would been heartbreaking to have lost her to cancer.
What can I say about Aries? He is my savior. Many of us bring dogs into our lives because we want to add to our families. I brought Aries into my life because I needed him just as much as he needed me.
I thought I would have to make the dreadful decision of having to watch Cali suffer because I could not afford her treatments, or be in debt for years to try and afford the chemotherapy. She is my best friend and she deserves a comfortable life. That is when her Dr. told us about Dogslife. I finally saw a glimmer of hope.
Goliath is such a huge part of our family and we wouldn’t know what to do without the unconditional love he gives each of us every day. We want to do everything we can to grow Dogslife so they can continue to help more sweet dogs in the battle against this horrible disease.
Polo is my family, my best friend, and my heart. I would do all I can for him and this grant has allowed me to do that. The Dogslife grant has given him a chance to put his life in his own paws and fight for his life.
We know this is giving us a little more time. Time to watch the twinkle in his eyes and play tug of war. Time to continue to give him our love as we are truly grateful to have his love, his excitement for each day, and his protection. Because of Dogslife we have the chance to get a few more hugs, walks, and probably even a few more garden hoses.
I feel so grateful and blessed to have received a grant from Dogslife. I didn't know how I was going to pay for the treatment, but I would have found a way because he’s my son. Dogslife made the process easier to swallow. Because of Dogslife, Jack graduated yesterday from his treatments. The tumor has already shrunk and we are optimistic.
This grant means the world to me. Binky is now able to get the treatments he needs to live a comfortable life. Most of all we get to continue to enjoy life together. Thank you!
I cannot really put into words what the phone call meant to me when I was told that Dogslife was providing a grant to help pay for all the overages for Desmond’s treatment that I simply could not afford. There really are angels that walk among us and this organization has some of the best!
Michelle Bono was an Olympic athlete who passed away from cancer. I was so taken by her strength and courage that I named my new puppy after her. It's only fitting that such a great organization would become a part of Bono's story. My household would just not be the same in her absence.
This diagnosis has been difficult, as I watched Sydney go from a slight limp to almost no use of her leg. Yet she still has an eagerness to life! I now have hope for her future and she will run in the sun again.
Tiger is the smartest and best dog we have ever owned, definitely the most spoiled. This is basically his house and he just lets us live here. He means everything to us and can't think of life without him.
Kona means the world to me and my elderly mother and aunt. He is their constant companion, burglar alarm, and protector. He is my soulmate and best friend. It's his gentle paw or sweet kisses that always makes even the worst days so much better and full of love.
Jake is part of our family. We have had him since he was 4 weeks old, My daughter fell in love with him at first sight. She calls him the ‘glue that holds us together.’
Max means the world to me - he is more than just a pet, he's family. I love and spoil my dog and he even has a spot on the bed that belongs to him.
Mika has been the center of my world. She means everything to me, and I would do pretty much anything for her because she is my child. I can’t have children, so I have Mika and she is all I need.
My dog, Squat, is my companion and best friend who gives me unconditional love. He is there for me when I am happy and he is there for me when I am sad or just lonely.
Johnny is my first baby. He taught me responsibility, a mother's love, and patience - definitely a lot of patience, lol
I helped Blush take her first breath. I knew from that moment she was special - we have been inseparable ever since.
When I rescued Jake at eight weeks old, we instantly created a connection. I'm the dog-dad that throws a birthday party for their pup.
Luke enjoys sniffing people’s hair, wagging his whole body when he gets excited, and knowing the words “belly rub” better than “sit” or “lie down”.
Sammy has been my calm and brought me peace. Playing with him kept me active when I really did not want to be.
I fell in love immediately when Star started kissing my cheek as soon as I picked her up. I knew instantly that she was my baby.
We quickly fell in love with Koby, and he has become my parents' third child, our brother, and our best friend.
Mo spent 111 days in the shelter. They posted a video of him, and, after we saw it, we went to the shelter looking for him. We wanted the dog no one else did!
Zaiah brings a light and purpose to my life. As life moves and changes, my 110-pound lap dog never leaves my side.
